3247-Carpet Fiasco

I don't recall if I have told you guys any of this, so I'm just gonna go tell you the whole story.


At the beginning of May, me and mam started carpet shopping for my bedroom.
Turquoise carpet is impossible to find.
We found a nice enough match at Floors2Go, so me and mam went and ordered it on May 5th. 
They said it could take 2-3 weeks to come in. May 26th was the expected date, which was a bank holiday. 
May 26th came and went, we thought, okay, bank holiday, we'll give them until Wednesday. 
May 28th, Wednesday, we called them. The carpet had not come in from the supplier and no one had had the decency to call us. 
Anyway, this went on for about another three weeks. Eventually we just went back to them and I got a refund. 

Back to square one of the impossible turquoise carpet searching. 

Found another one at Homeguard Carpets. 
£90 cheaper than Floors2Go halle-fucking-lujah!!

We ordered it on a Monday, we'll come come lay it on Thursday, they said. Fucking perfect!!
So they came and laid it on Thursday last week.....
Wrong colour. 
It was the wrong colour carpet.
Beautiful carpet! A rich blue and it was sooo soft....but it was the wrong colour.
We goes back to HC and take a cutting with us, match it up with the sample in the shop. Two completely different colours.
The guy calls the supplier and the supplier goes and looks....and the code for the sample is the same code for the one that was laid in my bedroom. If we were to order it again they would come and lay the same colour carpet. 
There is no such thing as turquoise carpet. 

Anyways, there was a light blue carpet which was £2 more per square whatever measurement is used, but the guy said he would let us have it for the same price as the other one. 

And finally, on Tuesday morning, I got my carpet!!
Nine fucking weeks, but I got it!!
